Pros

  • Does a good job or merging and rotating PDF files.
  • Can also be used to add encryption.

Cons

  • The interface is cluttered and not user-friendly.
  • Program does not include several of the features you would expect.

PDF reDirect provides users with the ability to manipulate PDF files by rotating and merging them in order to create completely new documents. This program is helpful because it simplifies the historically difficult task of changing PDF files. Whether you need to merge two or more PDF files, rotate a PDF files, or add encryption to one or more of them, PDF reDirect gives you the tools you will need to accomplish your goals.

While PDF reDirect can be helpful to a certain degree, the programs does come with some significant challenges that may deter some users from using it at all. The program does not include very many features other than the basic ability to merge and rotate or add encryption. Also, the design of the program is rather unappealing and not as clean as it could be.

The interface includes six panels even though PDF reDirect does not include six distinct features. The extra panels make the interface unnecessarily cluttered and not particularly user-friendly. It seems like there should certainly be a better way to categorize and organize the functions this program does offer so users are not confused.

It should also be noted that PDF reDirect also lacks some of the more basic features that such a program typically includes. Users do not have the options of editing PDF files, such as by splitting one PDF files into two or more new files. PDF reDirect also fails to offer the option of creating new PDF files from existing images or text files. It is undeniable that PDF reDirect does the job it claims to, it lacks many features we would expect to see.
